Latest Seminary Works, Including Thai Translation of Quran, Unveiled at Quran Fair

At the 31st International Holy Quran Fair, a special unveiling ceremony was held to showcase the latest works and achievements of the seminary section.

This event was attended by a diverse group of managers, professors, students, and Quran enthusiasts.

During the ceremony, several new volumes were unveiled, highlighting the recent accomplishments of seminary centers, particularly Al-Mustafa University. Among these was the translation of Sahifa Sajjadiyeh.

A significant highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Quran translated into Thai.

This is a notable achievement considering that Thai is spoken by 70 million people worldwide, and there are 5.5 million Muslims in Thailand, said Hojat-ol-Islam Safuraei, head of the translation team.

The representative of the Al-Mustafa University in Thailand undertook this translation project, marking 423 years since the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) were introduced to the country, he added.

The Thai translation of the Quran was a five-year project, brought to fruition by the dedicated efforts of five individuals from the Al-Mustafa University and experts in Quranic sciences, added the cleric.

The Thai Muslim community has warmly welcomed this translation of the Holy Quran, he said.

The 31st International Holy Quran Fair opened its doors at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla on March 20, welcoming visitors to a spiritual and cultural journey that coincides with the Nowruz holidays.

The exhibition will run until April 2.

A key highlight of the exhibition is its family-friendly atmosphere, ensuring a welcoming space for all ages.

Additionally, the fair has arranged for Iftar tables to be set up, providing a communal space for visitors to break their fast.

The fair features various Quranic institutions and governmental bodies, as well as international participants from 25 countries. The also highlights the issues of Gaza and Palestine and the role of the Quran in inspiring resistance.

The fair aims to familiarize people with Quranic concepts through artistic, cultural, and theatrical mediums, especially for children and teenagers. It also offers sections on artificial intelligence, Nahj al-Balaghah, Quranic research and consultation, Quran translation, and easy Quran memorization.
