One of the booths of the Iranian Red Crescent Society at the 31st International Holy Quran Fair seek to educate children about medical practices and first aid.
“Our primary mission is to offer medical education to
young people, specifically children and teenagers,” Alireza Heidari, director
of the booth said.
“We strive to create an engaging environment, complete
with a ball pool, drawing table, and more, where they can learn about medical
practices in a fun and interactive way,” he added.
“One of our key initiatives is to provide first aid
training to the wider public,” he said.
Visitors to the Holy Quran exhibition can also benefit
from the booth by receiving outpatient medical services, Heidari said, adding
that if needed, they also offer medical services such as CPR, blood pressure
checks, and blood sugar tests.
For instance, recently, a pregnant woman required medical
assistance and thanks to the prompt response of the team, they were able to
provide immediate care, he said, adding that after coordinating with the
emergency department, she was swiftly transported to the hospital.
The 31st International Holy Quran Fair commenced on March 20
Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla. This spiritual and cultural event, coinciding
with the Nowruz holidays, offers a unique journey for its visitors.
Operating daily from 5:00 PM to 00:30 AM local time, the
exhibition will continue to welcome enthusiasts until April 2. A notable
feature of the fair is its family-friendly ambiance, ensuring a welcoming
environment for visitors of all ages.
In a bid to foster a sense of community and shared
experience during this blessed month, the fair has organized Iftar tables.
The fair showcases a variety of Quranic institutions and
governmental bodies, along with international participants from 25 countries.
It also underscores the issues of Gaza and Palestine, highlighting the role of
the Quran in inspiring resistance.
With a focus on familiarizing people with Quranic concepts,
the fair utilizes artistic, cultural, and theatrical mediums. Special emphasis
is placed on engaging children and teenagers. The fair also features sections dedicated
to artificial intelligence, Nahj al-Balaghah, Quranic research and
consultation, Quran translation, and easy Quran memorization, offering a
comprehensive experience for all attendees.
