Director of the art section of the 31st International Holy Quran Fair says art is an “effective tool” to disseminate Quranic concepts.
“Art is a powerful medium for conveying meanings and
concepts to people. With this in mind, the exhibition aims to utilize this
effective tool to disseminate Quranic concepts,” Seyyed Mustafa Zaravandian said
on Saturday.
Explaining about the booth, he said it showcases a variety
of art forms, including cinema, visual, and ritual arts.
The visual arts section has been particularly well-received,
with over 1,500 submissions received for participation, he said, adding that a
selection committee, comprised of expert professors, carefully curated 90 works
for display. “These selected pieces include works from both renowned masters
and budding young artists, reflecting a commitment to supporting emerging
talent.”
Workshops are held across various art disciplines, including
visual arts, drama, and cinema, facilitated by expert instructors. The drama
section has scheduled nine performances each night. This interactive art form
fosters a close connection with the audience, he added.
The hymn section recognizes the significance of this art
form by featuring groups from mosques, Zaravandian said, adding that both boys'
and girls' hymn groups participate, with eight different groups performing
hymns each night.
