Warm Reception at Quran Fair Leads to Boost in Iftar Package Distribution

The growing number of visitors at the 31st International Holy Quran Fair has prompted authorities to increase the number of iftar packages that is distributed among people.

“Our initial plan was to distribute 5,000 packages and have an additional 1,000 ones on the storage each day. However, the exhibition’s reception exceeded our expectations in the first few days, with all 6,000 iftar packages being distributed,” said Seyyed Mohammad At’hari, Director of simple Iftar section of the fair, on Saturday.

“Given the end of the Nowruz holiday and the anticipated increase in visitors for the second week, we decided to boost the number of iftar packages to between 8,000 and 9,000,” he added.

The process of preparing these packages is a round-the-clock operation, carried out in three shifts by a team of 30 people per shift, totaling 90 people, he said.
