At the 31st International Holy Quran Fair, currently underway at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla, the Quran Department of Iran University of Medical Sciences has taken a unique approach to engage visitors.
The department has set up a booth that not only showcases a
report on their past year's activities but also offers a health pavilion
providing services to visitors.
The health pavilion features daily consultations with
specialists in nutrition, health, counseling, and general practice, all while ensuring
the privacy of visitors, said Vahid Otadi, Head of Quran Department of Iran
University of Medical Sciences.
In a bid to promote health awareness, the booth also
conducts regular health checks, including blood pressure and blood sugar
measurements, drawing attention to the importance of maintaining good health
during the religious observance of Ramadan.
The fair, which opened on March 20 and will run until April
2, has been a beacon of learning and community spirit, coinciding with the
Nowruz holidays. It offers a family-friendly atmosphere with Iftar tables for
communal dining and features contributions from various Quranic institutions
and international participants from 25 countries. This year's fair also
emphasizes the role of the Quran in inspiring resistance, with a focus on the
issues of Gaza and Palestine.
With a diverse range of offerings from artistic displays to
sections on artificial intelligence and Quranic research, the fair aims to
deepen the understanding of Quranic concepts among visitors of all ages,
particularly children and teenagers. The inclusion of the health pavilion by
the Iran University of Medical Sciences adds a new dimension to the fair,
highlighting the intersection of faith, culture, and well-being.
