Official Hails Innovative Activities at International Quran Fair

Mohammad Hosseini, Iranian Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs, hailed the innovative activities at 31st International Holy Quran Fair, including the section dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The 31st International Holy Quran Fair, which opened its doors at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla on March 20, has been described by Hosseini as a captivating experience that brings together diverse sections of society.

The event, which runs until April 2, blends lengthy Quranic themes with artistic elements, attracting many to immerse themselves in the Quranic environment and discover new Quranic works, books, stories, and art pieces, Hosseini said.

This year, the Quran exhibition showcases innovative elements, demonstrating how people can leverage new artificial intelligence tools, he said, adding that the fair, while providing a fun and entertaining platform for children, also serves an educational purpose. “It offers publishers, professors, Quran activists, and Quran institutions an opportunity to showcase their work.”

Quranic activists are given the opportunity to showcase their products, he said. “This year, Quran exhibitions have been held not only in Tehran but also in 30 other provinces across the country, considering the difficulties of commuting.”

Hosseini emphasized the significant role the Quran plays in people’s lives, stating that it can help “alleviate many of our economic and social issues.” In his words, promoting an authentic Quranic culture can foster a culture of hard work, effort, and service to others.

The fair features various Quranic institutions and governmental bodies, as well as international participants from 25 countries. It also highlights the issues of Gaza and Palestine and the role of the Quran in inspiring resistance. The fair aims to familiarize people with Quranic concepts through artistic, cultural, and theatrical mediums, especially for children and teenagers. It also offers sections on artificial intelligence, Nahj al-Balaghah, Quranic research and consultation, Quran translation, and easy Quran memorization.
