‘Quran Providing Solutions to Minor, Major Issues’

The head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization has stressed the comprehensiveness of the Holy Quran, pointing to the holy book’s provision of solutions for a variety of issues.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour made the comments while addressing the 2nd Tehran Quranic Meeting that was held on Thursday where dozens of scholars discussed "the role of the Holy Quran and Islamic resistance in the realization of Islamic identity.”

Imanipour started his statements by pointing to the blessed month of Ramadan. According to the Holy Quran, the significance of the sacred month of Ramadan is primarily due to the revelation of the Quran itself, he said, adding that the Quran was not only revealed to all of humanity but it was also designed to address every human necessity.

“In today’s world, the Quran provides solutions to both minor and major issues, including the pressing matter of family, which is a global concern. However, we have strayed from the Quran’s teachings and are instead seeking secondary doctrines,” he added.

There are accounts from elders who spent their lives exploring various books, only to regret it later when they discovered the profound depth of the Quranic principles, he noted.

The Quran is the foundation of unity in the Islamic world and the Ummah, and it forms the basis for the emergence of a new Islamic civilization, said Imanipour.

In the present day, the Holy Quran serves as a soft power for the people of Gaza and the resistance, he stressed.

If the Quran did not possess the power to influence society, it would not have faced attacks and desecrations, he added.

The 31st International Holy Quran Fair opened its doors at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla on Wednesday, welcoming visitors to a spiritual and cultural journey that coincides with the Nowruz holidays.

The exhibition, which will run until April 2, invites enthusiasts to explore its offerings daily from 5:00 PM to 00:30 AM local time.

A key highlight of the exhibition is its family-friendly atmosphere, ensuring a welcoming space for all ages.

Additionally, the fair has arranged for Iftar tables to be set up, providing a communal space for visitors to break their fast together following the Maghrib and Isha prayers, further fostering a sense of community and shared experience during this blessed month.

The fair features various Quranic institutions and governmental bodies, as well as international participants from 25 countries. The also highlights the issues of Gaza and Palestine and the role of the Quran in inspiring resistance.

The fair aims to familiarize people with Quranic concepts through artistic, cultural, and theatrical mediums, especially for children and teenagers. It also offers sections on artificial intelligence, Nahj al-Balaghah, Quranic research and consultation, Quran translation, and easy Quran memorization.
