The specialized meeting of the Quran in the international arena under the supervision of the international research educational complex of seminaries with the title of “Research Observation in the West, its Importance, Benefits and Goals”, was held with the presence of Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Reza Peysepar and Hujjat al-Islam Javad Ismaeili, in the international section of the Quran fair.
Tehran: International holy Quran Fair; a specialized meeting on the Quran in the international arena under the supervision of the international research educational complex of seminaries with the title of “Research Observation in the West, its Importance, Benefits and Goals” was held in the presence of Hujjat Al-Islam Mohammad Reza Peysespar and Hujjat al-Islam Javad Esmaeili, experts of the program in the international section of the exhibition. The purpose of this meeting is the type of Quranic research in English, extra-religious or intra-religious research, the scientific and research methods used in these writings and even the type of writing of Quranic articles and books that were held in English.
Esmaeili considered observation of this type of Quranic activities in the world as the most important and the most basic step.
Peysepar named the observation of Quranic studies in the West as one of the topics that Islamic countries have neglected and said: This amount of work related to the Quran in the West is not a volume that one or two people can monitor. For example, a search in Google Books with the title of Quranic sciences in English will show you more than one million books, articles and magazines, meaning that more than one million books, articles and magazines have been written in this field.
As a researcher of Quranic sciences, he considered himself obliged to know about the background of the research subjects and added: we should not be satisfied with Persian and Arabic sources for research on a subject, but use sources in other languages.
At the end, Mr. Peysepar stated that the number of books in this field is equal to the number of authors and said: we must pay attention to 3 important points in the study of Quran in the West in the international research educational complex of seminaries. First, we must monitor the West in this field. Second, we should know the position of Islamology and prominent Iranian personalities related to this topic to the world, and thirdly, produce and publish our Quranic products in English.
30th edition of the International Holy Quran Fair will be held from April 1 to 15 with the slogan "I call you" in Imam Khomeini's Mosalla in Tehran. The visiting time of this exhibition will be from 17:00 to 24:00, except for Qadr nights.
